93 Graduates Ready for the Future!


Near East College bid farewell to its 26th term graduates with enthusiasm. 93 students of Near East College who graduated in the 2024-2025 spring semester received their diplomas at a ceremony held at NEU Event Park and threw their caps in the air.
Near East College bid farewell to its students who graduated in the 2024-2025 spring semester with a magnificent ceremony held at NEU Event Park. Near East College, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, bid farewell to nearly 100 students at its 26th graduation semester. As the graduates enthusiastically received their diplomas, families, teachers and guests witnessed moments filled with pride and emotion.

Students who completed this important step in their education lives experienced the joy of graduation to the fullest at a ceremony where joy, pride and excitement were experienced together. Secondary school students who stood out with their success at the ceremony were not forgotten either. Certificates of achievement were presented to 20 students who were awarded the “Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship” with their success in the Scholarship Ranking and Entrance Exam.

The opening speeches of the ceremony were made by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, one of the first graduates of the Near East College, and the Head of the School of the Near East College, Raif Özdilek Asvaroğlu.


Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel: “Each of you has been raised as individuals who feel responsible towards society and are ready to build the future.
Beginning his speech by saying “We are in a big graduation marathon this week”, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “Throughout the week, we celebrated the success of approximately 3 thousand students who graduated from our Near East University with the ceremonies we carried out in this area. At the same time, graduation ceremonies were held with great enthusiasm and excitement in our Nicosia, Kyrenia and Yeniboğaziçi primary schools. Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia College and Kyrenia University graduation ceremonies were also completed this week. I had the pleasure of meeting with our graduates and addressing them in all these ceremonies.”

Stating that each educational institution is precious and special, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel emphasized that the Near East College has a special place and said, “Being in front of you at the Near East College graduation ceremony has a much different and deeper meaning for me. Because I am also standing before you as the first graduate of the Near East College, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year.”

Emphasizing that the Near East College is a pioneering institution with its qualified language education, high academic standards and success in sports, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel addressed the graduates and said, “You were not only equipped with knowledge here. At the same time, you were raised as individuals who feel responsible towards society, embrace their values and are ready to build the future. Your achievements are our greatest source of pride. May your path be clear and your future bright.”


Raif Özdilek Asvaroğlu: “You are graduating as individuals who are equipped to chart their own path, guided by scientific thought and open to the world.”
Near East College School Principal Raif Özdilek Asvaroğlu, in his speech to the graduates, said, “Today, you are not graduating from your school with just a diploma. You are also graduating as individuals equipped with knowledge, possessing universal values, knowing the requirements of the age and adopting continuous learning as a principle. You will make a difference in the changing and developing world of the 21st century not only with your academic achievements, but also with your critical thinking skills, ethical stance and commitment to lifelong learning.”

Raif Özdilek Asvaroğlu finalized his words by saying “As Near East College, we have tried to provide you with values that will help you make sense of life, in addition to academic knowledge. Today, you are leaving here as individuals who are equipped to chart their own path, guided by scientific thought and open to the world. May your path be clear and your future bright.”
