Near East College between 21st-25th  December , due to Martyrs Memorial at Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Centre , Turkish Literature Department, Muzik Department and History Department gave a ceremony.

At the ceremony,  after the national anthem, History teacher Ayten Saydam gave a speech. Music Department  and Turkish Literature Department prepared a “Freedom and Struggle” poem likewise, the music choir was highly liked. After the oratorio 1963 events were read by students , which lead to emotional moments in the hall. Lastly, Radio Guven’s event  “Turkish Cypriots Struggle gainst Greek Genocide” poetry competition first comer,  year 10 student Kubilay Demirel , read a poem an was liked.

School principle Işılay Arkan, also gave a talk regarding his memeories for those days. His talk was listened fully.
