Hüseyin Başaran made the country proud with the Cyprus championship he achieved in the “IGCSE Information and Communication Technology” exam; and Melis Taluğ made the country proud with the Cyprus championship she achieved in the “IGCSE Sociology” exam.
Near East College students continue to make themselves proud with the rankings they achieve in international exams. Near East College 11th year students achieved another great success with the world and Cyprus championships in the Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) exams, which are attended by approximately one million students from all over the world every year.

The Cambridge IGCSE program, offered by Cambridge Assessment International Education and implemented in more than 10 thousand schools in more than 160 countries, aims to provide students between the ages of 14-16 with not only academic knowledge and skills but also to develop analytical thinking, problem solving and independent learning skills. The IGCSE certificate, recognized by prestigious universities and employers worldwide, is accepted as a criterion for evaluating students’ academic preparation.
