Near East College students won two world and two Cyprus first places in Pearson Edexcel exams!

Near East College students Arda Tursoy, Hüseyin Başaran and Nikita Gordeev won two Cyprus and two world first places in Pearson Edexcel exams. The students will receive their awards at a ceremony to be held in November.

Near East College students achieved great success with their Cyprus and world first places in the exams conducted by Pearson Edexcel, one of the most internationally recognized institutions. Near East College students Arda Tursoy, Hüseyin Başaran and Nikita Gordeev, who made their families and schools proud with their success, came first in Science, Mathematics, Business and Economics exams.

According to the exam results, Near East College 9-year student Arda Tursoy received the highest score in Cyprus in the Pearson Edexcel iLowerSecondary Science exam. Year 11 student Hüseyin Başaran ranked first in the world in the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Mathematics A level exam.

Another success was that Nikita Gordeev, a graduate student of the Near East College, won awards in two categories. Nikita Gordeev, who ranked first in Cyprus in the Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Level Business exam, also ranked first in the world in the International Advanced Level Economics exam. With these achievements, Nikita Gordeev was accepted to the University of Alabama with a scholarship for the Business Administration department this year.

These achievements they have made on an internationally recognized platform such as Pearson Edexcel are a result of the efforts of our students and our competent teaching staff.”
