Near East College graduates Hasan Altay, Arda Elkıran, Ersoy Ata Baki, Gülçin Özbilen and Gözde Gamze Gözenler, who were placed in universities in the Netherlands and Turkey with their results in GCE A-Level and IGCSE exams, were among the 15 students who were entitled to the scholarship given by the TRNC Ministry of National Education.
5 graduates of Near East College were among the 15 students who won the scholarship given by the Ministry of National Education based on the 2023 GCE-A Level exam results. The scholarship given to students who are placed in universities outside the TRNC with their results in GCE A-Level and IGCSE exams will be given uninterruptedly if their achievements continue throughout their university education.
Hasan Altay, one of the graduates of Near East College, who is entitled to receive the scholarship given by the TRNC Ministry of National Education, will study at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Universiteit Utrecht (Utrecht University). Ersoy Ata Baki will study Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands; Arda Elkıran will study medicine at Ankara University and Gülçin Özbilen will study medicine at Hacettepe University. Gözde Gamze Gözenler, one of the Near East College graduates who was entitled to receive a scholarship, will study economics at Middle East Technical University.

Stating that they are very proud that one-third of the students who are entitled to the scholarship given by the TRNC Ministry of National Education with the results they obtained in the GCE A-Level and IGCSE exams are Near East College graduates, Özkan said, “On the basis of the education philosophy we adopt, we prepare our students with strong academic, social and personal aspects. We train them as self-confident individuals who have high foreign language skills and always aim for the top at national and international levels. The success achieved by our students is the proof of this.”
