Near East College became the Badminton Champion of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, leaving behind its competitors with both male and female teams in the "Second Secondary School Badminton Championship" organized by the Ministry of Education.

According to a press statement released by the Near East University Press and Public Relations Directorate, the Badminton Championship game held on March 16 played in Atatürk Sports Hall.
The Near East College Team defeated Doga College, Şht. Zeka Çorba Secondary School and BTMK 5-0 over and over and won the championship 5th times.

In the press statement, it was stated that the Near East College Girls' Team has defeated BTMK, Şht. Zeka Çorba Secondary School, Erenköy Secondary School and Doğa College 5-0 over and over, and won its 10th championship.
