Near East College Secondary School Girls and Boys Badminton Team became the TRNC Champion in the "Secondary School Badminton Championship" organized by the Ministry of National Education.

In the games held at Atatürk Sports Hall, the Near East College Girls' Team, which won all the matches except one match, the Boy's Badminton Team reached to the championship without giving any set to their opponents.

Girls' Team's 11th and Boys' Team's 6th Championship...
The Boys' Team won the 6th championship by defeating the Polatpaşa Secondary School 5-0, Bayraktar Turkish Maarif College 5-0, Doğa College 5-0 and English School 5-0. Girls' Team won the 11th championship by defeating Bekirpaşa Secondary School 5-0, English School 5-0, Doğa College 4-1 and Bayraktar Turkish Maarif College 5-0.

Determination reflected in the field
Near East College Badminton Team Coaches Firat Deniz and Meryem Demir, who stated that they have repeated their success as they did in the previous years and are happy, expressed that the determination of the students was reflected on the game ground and resulted with another championship. Fırat Deniz said that the Secondary School Badminton Teams, having the championships, are now entitled to participate in the Turkey's Secondary Schools Badminton Championship Tournament that will take place in Manisa province, in May, and added that they are very proud to represent our country and their school in the best way.

Championship Receives Applause
The Near East College administration also celebrated the success of their team together with school students at the morning meeting they held. The teachers and coaches who were highly praised by the School Principal Işılay Arkan and the Secondary School Vice Principal Ömer Özkan received a thunderous applause from the school students and teachers.
