The Near East College, in cooperation with Deniz Plaza, organised for the English Language teachers a seminar entitled “Teaching Effective Reading Skills”.

Teaching Trainer Teressa Doğuelli, who gave the seminar, explained several teaching techniques aimed at the English learning students.

Attending the seminar at the NEC Middle School building were year 6 and year 7 teachers as well as teachers from the ÖSS and GCE buildings.

Head of the English Department Lesley Hakseven said this was the third in a series of seminars that would continue in due course. She expressed confidence that such seminars would benefit all English teachers who were happy to follow new teaching techniques. She said she was very well pleased with the enthusiasm shown.

Teressa Doğuelli said she had derived great pleasure in answering the questions asked by the participating teachers. She expressed her thanks to the NEC English Department.
