Successful “Hydroponics” Experiments

In the 2013-2014 academic year, the Near East College and İrfan Günsel Research Centre in cooperation have successfully experimented on “Hydroponics”, a vegetabe growing technique which involves growing vegetables in water, without soil.

Vegetables grown in this manner have been fed by inorganic salts. The method allows for growth of vegetables in less time, less water and less space. Also experimented was the growth of vegetables through organic nutrition, involving the boiled and filtered animal faeces. The results were successful. The experiments are continuing.
