The NEC Psychological Counselling and Guidance Service in the past week organised for middle and high school students, two seminars aimed at the enlightenment of the students on the subjects of “The Hazards of Smoking and the Usage of Alcoholic Drinks and Drugs”, as well as “Efficient Communication and Responsibility”.
During the seminar held at the NEU Ataturk Congress Centre, Head of the Commission for the prevention of the usage of cigarettes, drugs and alcoholic drinks, Journalist-Writer Hasan Karaokçu presented the high school students with detailed statistical information concerning how young people are drawn into using drugs, cigarettes and alcoholic drinks. He also provided information on the unpleasant and often fatal consequences.

In the seminar aiming at the middle school students, NEU lecturers Associate Professor Dr Gökmen Dağlı and Docent Dr Yağmur Çerkez presented informationn on “Efficient Communication and Responsibility”.
At the end of the seminars, NEC Counselling and Guidance Service members, counselling experts Duyal Tüzün and Rasiha Özyurtlu as well as expert psychologists Rasiha Altunkaya and Öykü Özgüm thanked both groups of speakers for their contributions and presented bouquets to express their gratitute.

During both seminars, NEC teaching staff accompanied their students.
