Athletes of the Near East College Athletics Team achieved success in the heats conducted by the Federation of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Athletics Federation and elected to race at the Turkey Indoor Athletic Championship in U14-U16 and U18 age categories.

Athletes from the Near East College became successful in the heat races held at the Atatürk Stadium and entitled to participate in the Turkey Indoor Athletics Championship on behalf of TRNC as part of the TRNC National Athletics Team.

The U16-U14 age group from the Near East College will go to Turkey on 16 January to participate in the indoor races to be held on 17 February and the U18 age group will on 17 February.

Near East College Principal Asim Idris, congratulated the athletes who achieved success in the heats to participate at the indoor athletics in Turkey. Asım İdris, who also congratulated the coaches who are the architects of the achievements, wished the athletes continue their success. The students, who expressed that they would go to the races with a high motivation, also expressed confidence that they would be successful.
