Organised by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ministry of National Education, Near East College (NEC) Middle School Girls’ and Boys’ Badminton Teams became the Champion of the badminton tournament, titled as “Middle School Badminton Championship”, which was held among the girls and boys teams of middle schools of TRNC. Consequently, the current success of the Near East College became the 7th achievement made by the NEC Boys’ Badminton Team; whereas it became the 12th achievement made by the NEC Girls’ Badminton Team.

Undefeated Champion…
According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the matches of the tournament was held at the Near East College Sports Hall and Near East College boys’ and girls’ teams both became undefeated Champions; positioning themselves as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Badminton Champions without a single defeat.

The Boys’ Team for the 7th Time and the Girls’ Team for the 12th...

Looking at the Near East College Boys’ Badminton Team, they initially won a triumph over Girne American College with a score of 5-0; followed by a victory over Bayraktar Türk Maarif College with 5-0; then a triumph over Demokrasi Middle School with a score of 5-0; and finally English School of Kyrenia again with a score of 5-0, thus achieving the 7th Championship of the team in total.

On the other hand, the Near East College Girls’ Badminton Team had a match with English School of Kyrenia, then with Bekirpaşa Middle School, followed by Demokrasi Middle School and Girne American College with a score of 5-0. Resultantly, this achievement proudly became the 12th Championship of the Near East College Girls’ Badminton Team.
