Established to raise awareness and nurture affection to the environment, and also bring together students who are interested in the filed of geography, the Near East College Geography Club paid a visit to the Department of Meteorology to make observations.
According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the Near East College Geography Club students were first taken to the observation park. The students found the opportunity to examine the equipment used there and also were informed about general procedures. Subsequently, they were taken to the room where daily reports were prepared. The students got the chance to see the drawings and every little detail regarding daily whether predictions. They looked at maps and satellite images and found the chance to ask their questions.
In addition to the above, the Near East College Geography Club students were informed about daily moisture, press and wind direction factors which were calculated with a weather balloon. It was pointed that they had a great time during their trip and that the students enjoyed themselves while informing their peers regarding the information they had gathered using images and videos upon their return to their school.
