Near East College becomes North Cyprus Champion in Country Cross Races


Near East College became the champion of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus by achieving a big success in the country cross races organized by the Ministry of National Education and held in the Gönyeli Elementary School field on February 17th.

The secondary school boys, high school boys, and high school girls cross-country teams bringing championship to the Near East College in 3 categories out of four categories, the individual students also succeded in getting the first places.

Ranked 1st in both boys and girls categories

According to the information given by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, Near East College students Nezihat Doygunel ranked first in the high school girls and Demet Çakır ranked third.

Oraz Dalkanov ranked first, Sarp Öztay ranked fourth and Emre Ersoy got the 5th place in secondary school individual cross-country race.

The champion of the high school male individual race was Mustafa Yorulmaz.

They will be participating in Turkey Championship

Near Eastern College Students will represent our country in 3 categories in the Turkey Championship which will be held in Malatya on 3 March 2017.

The championship of secondary school boys, high school boys and high school girl cross-country teams were welcomed with great pride and joy in the Near East College.
