Near East College Badminton Team became champion in both girls 'and boys' 'High School Badminton Championship organized by the Ministry of Education.

According to the information given by the Near East College, the Near East College Girls' Badminton Team, which has succeeded in winning all the matches played throughout the championship tournament at Atatürk Sports Hall, gave only one set to its rivals while the the Boy's team gave no set to its rivals.

Girls got the championship for the 7th time and Boys for the 6th time ...
Girls' Team finished first by defeating Haydarpaşa Commercial High School, Sedat Semavi Industrial Vocational High School and Bülent Ecevit Anadolu High School 4-1. The Girls team defeated the Namik Kemal High School 5-0 in the semifinals and defeated Bülent Ecevit High School 5-0 in the final and won the championship.

The Boy's team respectively defeated İskele Commercial High School 5-0, Sedat Semavi Industrial Vocational High School and Namik Kemal High School 5-0 and won the 6th championship.

Near East College Badminton Team Coach Fırat Deniz and Meryem Demir stated that they trained well and achieved their ultimate goal, and the determination of students reflected on the playing groun.

Fırat Deniz emphasized that they have repeated the success they achieved last year and they want to repeat this success at the Turkey Badminton Championship tournament that will be held between 16 - 19 March 2018 in Edirne, Turkey, and represent our country in the best possible way.

Badminton teams' double championship was celebrated with a ceremony held at the school. School head Işılay Arkan and Vice Director Alpay Ertaç congratulated the players and their trainers who received great praise from the students and their teachers.
