Near East College 8th year students Seymen G. Deniz and Eren Özuyanık, who are National Badminton Players of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus participated in the IBB World Junior Badminton Championship held in Istanbul.

It was revealed that World Junior Badminton IBB was held in Fatih Sports Hall in Istanbul in December, 2016 and as a result, Seymen G. Deniz competed in the single girl’s competitions whereas Eren Özuyanık competed in the single boy’s competitions. Furthermore, both athletes also competed together in mixed pairs matches.

Participating in the tournament for the first time, the young national badminton players have achieved successful results; representing both their country and their school the Near East College with honour.
