Near East College Observation and Research Club Students along with Photography Club students visited the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts which was brought into life by Near East University to promote our country’s artistic creativity to wider populations and add vividness and color to social and cultural life.
The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that the museum curator and officials provided the students with detailed information about the Cyprus Museum of Arts and artworks exhibited in the museum. It was underlined that the museum had a large collection of artworks, including rare ones, created by very talented artists from 14 different Turkic republics, namely Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Gagauzia, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Altai Republic, Tuva Republic and Chuvashia.
After visiting the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, students, who were very impressed by the collection consisting of a broad and diverse range of eclectic and stylistic paintings, expressed their satisfaction for seeing the artworks created by very talented and precious painters. Underlining the power of intrinsic motivation in students' ability to learn through individual interests and engagement, Near East College students stated that visiting the museum led them to understand once again not only the importance of arts and artists but also how arduous it was to create an artwork.
