Information Seminar on the Rights of the Child was held at Near East College


The Social Responsibility Club of Near East College hosted the Lawyer Laden Asilzade, the founder of the Universal Child Rights Movement.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, the Founding Person of the Universal Child Rights Movement, Lawyer Laden Asilzade participated in the seminar, which was organized for the 9th-grade students, and delivered information regarding all fundamental rights of children. Laden Asilzade also addressed not only the importance of showing respect to parents, cultural identity, environment and the values of others but also the crucial role of having tolerance, equality principle and responsibility in being a genuine individual and society.

Underlining that every individual below the age of 18 is a child, Asilzade stated that the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is also valid in our country. Expressing that children need to know their rights and what they should do in case of violation of their rights, Asilzade also informed the students about peer victimization, domestic and out of-home abuse.
